In a surprising crossover event that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.

The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This patch also adds the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
